Greetings to saxophonists and musicians alike! My name is Garrett Munz and I am a professional saxophonist based in Chicago. I’d love to help you on your journey to finding your sound on saxophone or for jazz improvisation. After getting a BFA in Jazz Saxophone from Depaul ‘24, I’ve taught private lessons to assist students with saxophone and music theory fundamentals, jazz improvisation, sight-reading. It’s imperative to me that each student is given a tailored experience to match their learning style. Music has been such a blessing in my life and I’d be honored to guide you to find the same happiness it’s brought me.
Additionally, I’ve played at numerous venues in the Chicagoland atea and have recently returned home from a North American tour with the band, Manwolves.
