About
My name is Shakir Bell (Coach Bell). On Instagram i am @struggle.hustle I primarily train football players but I have had success training multiple sport athletes. I specialize in speed & agility training, strength & conditioning training, as well as position specific training and what i like to call "Focus Days" which is a complete session of me testing your mental and pushing your body to the extreme. I teach some classes, I offer small group training (which is my cheapest rates), but i particularly focus on 1 on 1 training because it allows me to narrow in on the specific needs of my client

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Initially I always start by assessing the strengths of my clients. By understanding their strengths as an athlete, it allows me to create workouts based on enhancing and advancing those abilities. Once I get a good grasps on how to advance those abilities, I then start to look for deficiencies in their game and we began to implement drills that breaks down those movements.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a former All-American athelete in both Highschool and College for football. I played proffesional football in the CFL (Canadian Football League) and based on my perfomance up there I recieved interest to play in the NFL by teams like: the Patriots, Raiders, and Ravens. I am also a product of personal training at a young age, I recieved guidance in enhancing my ability at the early age of 14. I have also coached at the highschool level, in all three levels (Freshman, Junior Varsity, & Varsity). I also have experience with training proffesional NFL athletes. In early of march of 2017 I worked for St. Vincent Sports Performance's NFL combine training as the companies running back coach.
How did you get started teaching?
I started training early, I developed a passion for it while I was still an active athlete. I am a "vertically challenged" athlete so out performing my teammates and my competitors was always my motivation and is a driving force for what i instill in my athletes.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
When searching for a teachers do research on their background and history. Realize that they aren't only training your physical but are influential on your mental and have to motivate and uplift your performance.
