Eve V Eggleston
About
I am an adjunct faculty professor at Ivy Tech Community College teaching Life & Object Drawing. I recently completed a summer fellowship for 10 East Arts in Indianapolis.
Attention to detail is the key to fine arts and client relations. 3VE, an alteration of the owner’s initials EVE strives to take an artist of any level, beginner through master and elevate their skills technically while granting the opportunity for new techniques, approaches and awarenesses of their work.
Eve Victoria Eggleston is an Indianapolis-based exploratory artist in two-dimensional work. Stylistically she takes a classically trained fine-arts background and warps the imagery with a surrealistic twist to convey a deeper conceptual meaning. She currently in the Flava Fresh 2018-2019 series and her work is available to be seen at the Nickel Plate Gallery. She has also shown work at Garfield Park Arts Center, near University of Indianapolis where she earned a double major Bachelor’s of Science in Studio Fine Arts and Psychology. She is currently enrolled in their Master’s program Social Practice Art. She has done commissioned work for clients such as a T-shirt design for BASE Fitness and several tattoo linework pieces. Her strengths are clean, solid lines, proficiency in color theory and monochromatic work, finite detail and originality of concept.

I love working directly with students to meet their individual goals. Helping someone progress through challenges to find the next 'step' in their artmaking brings me endless joy and satisfaction. I want to cater our sessions directly to your needs.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When first working with a new client they will begin with a consultation and information intake in order to assure both parties are aware of the student’s current level of skill and their future goals. Next a syllabus for the first several sessions is created and the client is contacted with that information to assure their needs were understood and are being met. After several sessions occur the student’s progress will be critiqued and assessed. Goals and future lesson plans will be reassessed and created and the client will be contacted again. Once the sessions have terminated the student will be encouraged to May and frame their work and are invited to contact the owner with any questions about their artistic career they make have come to them.

How did you get started teaching?
I was contacted by the college based on my skills and prevoius experience. I began teaching art at the university level in Fall 2020.
What types of students have you worked with?
College-aged
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
My advice to a prospective student is to find an artist who’s style and artistic perspective are reflective of your own. Make sure your teacher is someone you respect.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
When approaching a new skill it is important to understand your goals. Is this going to be your career or just a passionate hobby? Does creativity flow within your veins or are you seeking emotional release? Art should be created for all and every reason but knowing what you desire out of your practice will set you up to avoid frustrations in the future.
