I have worked with a very diverse range of students of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently taught a workshop on creative chainmaking and design at Touchstone Center for Craft. It was a wonderful experience. The students were so joyful and open to exploration. And it is set in the Laurel Mountains of Pennsylvania, so we were surrounded and inspired by natural beauty all week!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Be open to play, explore, fail, find successes or inspiration in those failures, learn, grow, and practice, practice, practice.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
