Christine Rider Artist
About
I am a certified secondary art teacher and love sharing my knowledge and passion for art. I have a BA in Studio Art and an MS in Educational Technology. My undergraduate was in painting and drawing, and my graduate studies emphasized digital arts. My curriculum includes oil, acrylic, and watercolor painting. Graphite, color pencil, and mixed media drawing/printmaking. Graphic design, video/sound production and animation using Adobe Creative Suite. Most recently I have been exploring the iPad and Apple Pencil as a new medium for drawing and painting.
I consider myself a coach, inspiring students to reach their full potential. I encourage students to embrace their individual style. Art is an expression and interpretation of the world around us. Art History is the visual chronicle of civilization. With each medium taught, I emphasize examples from difference art movements.
