Hello! I have been teaching high school art since 2004. I’m experienced in teaching drawing, painting, ceramics, and a variety of other mediums and techniques. In addition to my full time teaching job, I host painting parties for all ages and art camps & classes for students in 1st-12th grades. I love meeting new people and helping students discover & expand their creative talents.

At the age of three I dreamed of being a potter making huge pots. I got my first real chance to pursue ceramics when I attended State College of Florida from ‘76-78. At 20, I was accepted into Ringling School of Art and Design in Florida, which did not have a ceramic department. After studying sculpture there two years I left college to head west to start a family in Kansas City. For nearly 40 years, ceramics were put aside while I raised and homeschooled my four children, took up urban organic homesteading, organic farming, herbal studies and organic soap making.
