At the age of three I dreamed of being a potter making huge pots.
I got my first real chance to pursue ceramics when I attended State College of Florida from ‘76-78. At 20, I was accepted into Ringling School of Art and Design in Florida, which did not have a ceramic department. After studying sculpture there two years I left college to head west to start a family in Kansas City. For nearly 40 years, ceramics were put aside while I raised and homeschooled my four children, took up urban organic homesteading, organic farming, herbal studies and organic soap making. The dream to make large pottery never went away though.
