About
Our mission at GoDo Fitnessis a welcoming environment to improve the overall health of our clients. To EDUCATE clients that health is more than fitness, it's health from the inside out! It's all about the community, recovery and challenging the body and mind. EMPOWERING (M*P*W*R) the client towards a quality of life with professional workouts, varied programs and nutrition under one roof.
I decided to make a career change mid-life. As I had worked with clients in my previous career, I would ask them to look at the choices and ask the "why" to their outcomes. I realized that my own "why" was to empower those that needed that little extra push to get their goals. I love helping clients make their goals a reality and to help them transform into the person that they want to be.
As a Personal Trainer/Pilates Instructor/Nutrition Coach, I am able to look at a clients needs in regards to their diet, exercise program and mobiity. Allowing them to feel better from the inside out.

How did you get started teaching?
I have been a teacher/counselor in school districts for a number of years. Teaching and training was a great progression and feel that this has been a perfect blend of talent and skill to progress in my own career.
What types of students have you worked with?
With my background, I can easily work with young adults to adults that are older. I have worked with students in high school preparing them for sports, mothers-to-be in pilates, adults with injuries to help gain mobility and strength and oler adults in the pool.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Recently I have been working with a client that is working toward weight loss for a wedding. The scale had shown she lost a few pounds and was feeling a bit defeated by all the hard work in the past 2 months. I always do body measurements along with body weight. She had lost 4" in her mid section and was delighted. She realized that just relying on numbers (scale) how defeating it can be. I was so thrilled that the nutrition coaching, strength training and weekly pilates is helping her reach her goals.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I always believe that the client and teacher will know if they make that connection. Working on a goal(s) has a very personal connection and each person should be comfortable. There might be times when each are pushing a bit harder to get the outcomes and the trust needs to be present to know that what is being asked is within the clients reach.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Goals, outcomes, time frame, barriers, consistency and commitment.
I always ask a new client..."have you tried training before?...was it successful?" "What is your goal? Strength, mobility, weight loss?"
Are there barriers to reaching these goals. Is it physical, mental...a combination of the two.
