About

I teach beginners to sew. You need a good foundation of sewing skills to build upon. Sewing is a life skill and is fun.

Classes are held in your home and each class will be limited to 6 students (ages 15 and up). I also teach individual lessons.

You must have your own sewing machine in good working order, along with basic tools and materials. I use free patterns to teach. You must provide your own fabric, thread and supplies/tools.

I just happened to be lucky enough to have Angie to be my sewing instructor. I was a complete newbie to sewing at the age of 30 - no knowledge, had never touched a sewing machine before, zip. Angie is incredibly patient and never treats any question as dumb. She works with you based on what you want to learn in sewing. Ive gone from knowing nothing to being able to make lined bags and purses with fancy straps and hidden pockets that make people ask if I bought them in a store. She is very much capable of teaching beginner to advanced techniques. I highly recommend Angie.

She was very PATIENT with me and helped me problem solve on my own machine (proper needles, sewing foot, thread tension, bobbin issues, etc.). We worked our projects together, then I was able to go home and continue practicing on my own. Looking so forward to her next class!

Angie is a great sewing teacher. She explains things well and helped me get through complicated “procedures”. She’s also very knowledgeable about machines. She is very encouraging. When you think something is too complicated, she will reassure you that you can do it. When anyone mentions learning how to sew, I refer them to Angie. She is very talented when it comes to sewing and designing her own patterns. She definitely knows what she’s doing.
