What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We like to guide new students that come in to make sure they feel comfortable in whatever path they want to take- group classes or privates. We have a few ways to start depending on there goals- which we like to learn about to focus on during their sessions.

How did you get started teaching?
I injured myself while exercising - herniated disc and sciatica. This lead me on my path to rehabilitation and strengthening through Pilates.
What types of students have you worked with?
The best thing about Pilates is that it is appropriate and helpful to so many types of people. Pilates is a foundation that can help practically everyone. With that said- I have seen a huge variety of clientele for many different reasons. From the never exercised before to the athlete... to the clients in need of rehabilitation from surgery or medical conditions... everyone needs to strengthen their core... effectively and functionally.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Recently I took a spin class and a weight training class- I loved how my Pilates connection helped me in both classes to feel safe and strong.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Be open and try it... remember you are learning a new exercise system- it takes time!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Ask what Pilates can do for you with the activities you love to do already.
