About
As a fitness professional, I bring a level of customized service to each client that offers effective and safe practices to bring desired goals to fruition. I work with clients from all walks of life. Many of my clients have sustained injuries, bore children, survived strokes, conquered cancer and even stepped on stage to compete for the first time. As a team, each client and I worked together toward these goals, and as a result, have developed a deeper understanding of the body, and how to make healthy living a sustainable and manageable lifestyle.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I begin each new client with a fitness evaluation. In this first session, I assess alignment and flexibility issues that may exist and learn more about the physical history of my client. This includes injuries, surgeries, life changing events, and finally, goals. From here, I am able to gauge how I will approach this client and choose appropriate exercises and equipment moving forward.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am certified by the National Academu of Sports Medicine in the following:
- Certified Personal Trainer
- Corrective Exercise Specialist
- Senior Fitness Specialist
- Youth Fitness Specialist
- Prenatal Fitness Specialist
- Fitness Nutrition Specialist
- Weight Loss Specialist
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Drop in sessions are priced at full rate. Session price is determined on training frequency and location. The more a client trains, the more the client saves per session. All sessions are booked/renewed/paid in advance on a monthly basis. My clients pay only for sessions booked for the month as each month could change based on holidays, school schedules, work travel and vacations. 24 hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session.
How did you get started teaching?
initially, I began teaching dance at the age of 11 for my family business (dance studio) in Michigan. I spent a decade teaching dance in Michigan and Los Angeles, CA before moving to Boston, MA. Here, I attended college for Piano Performance at Berklee, which lead to me teaching piano lessons. While in school, I worked at a local corporate gym. It was in this gym that I returned to my passion of working in movement with students at first, and later with private clients.

- post PT clients: shoulder impingements, hip replacements, torn rotator cuffs, knee replacements, fused spines, fused ankles, slipped discs, bulging discs, hernias, diastasis recti, torn ACL/MCL, scoliosis, broken clavicle, dislocations

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am most recently fond of working with my 94 year old client who suffered a double stroke 10 years ago, and also a TIA in recent past. In the past 6 weeks, we've been able to work together to have him reach a goal of standing upright. It's a work in progress but each day
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
When hiring an instructor in the area of fitness, be sure to check that they are certified by a nationally recognized organization. The pricing should reflect experience and the level of service offered. In short, you get what you pay for so beware extremely discounted packages.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I'm very supportive of clients bringing any and all questions to a consultation. However, be sure to consult a doctor prior to working with a fitness professional to ensure that proper clearance is given.
