I am passionate about all aspects of music and arts! I absolutely love the beauty of knowledge that comes with creating and performing music. I believe that everyone is a musician, you may just not be aware of it yet! As a composer-performer-producer, I hope to expand your musicality not only through lessons but through true connection and understanding of one another through music. I believe creation comes from your heart and is portrayed through your body. The most important thing is that you truly enjoy every process of what you wish to achieve- I'm here for you!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Get to know each other first! What are you curious about? What would you like to know? How can I assist to improve your muscianship? How can we grow together? Questions are a wonderful thing.
With new/beginning composition students, I first want to know what type of music they like or would like to compose. Our lessons will mostly be a discussion of how (how did you write this?), why (why did you write this?), and where (where do you want to go with this?). I will teach them how to engrave their compositions both on a DAW (digital audio workstation) and by hand (staff paper). I will also teach them basic music theory including orchestration (arranging) and instrumentation (basic knowledge of how to write for every instrument).
With new/beginning production students, the process will be similar to composition! It is always important to know your basic theory but afterwards, we will learn how to write a song, beats, and more through Logic Pro. I will teach them everything about technicality of Logic to actually creating music on Logic.
With new/beginning double bass students, I will start with the very basics- basic theory, position, and instrumental care. Then we will move onto the specifics- techniques, intonation, rhythm, fingering, exercises, etc. After these steps, we will move onto the fun part- playing the bass together! I will teach them with exercise books that many professional bassist recommend (which I have learned from as well) and continue to build our porfolio as we progress.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have performed in many youth orchestras throughout highschool and continued to play bass at the Conservatory's Orchestra and Berklee's Film Scoring Orchestra. Back in highschool, I gave bass lessons mainly for auditions and also mentored two orchestra classes. I have studied with Tina Ottaviano (FOX Theater bassist), Gloria Allgood (ASO bassist), and Professor Joe Holt (BSO bassist). I also have demonstrated how to write for bass at some of the Berklee's classes for composers.
I have helped other students at the Conservatory with their compositions by giving them feedback, ideas, or analysis. At the Conservatory, I studied with Professors such as Eun Young Lee, Tina Tallon, Timothy McCormack, and Mischa Salkind Pearl. I am currently studying with David Adamcyk, electronics composer. I have years of education in music theory, music history, instrumentation/orchestration, and music analysis and am continuing to deepen my knowledge. At Boston Conservatory, I was able to collaborate with Arx Duo (percussion duo) and yarn/wire (percussion quartet).
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
For lesson prices I prefer $30 for 30 mins or $55 for one hour. If you have any other questions about the prices, please contact me!
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students as young as 5 years old to 30 years old varying in age, gender, sexuality, and status (student, worker, etc.)
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I love going to concerts whether that is a classical concert at Carnegie Hall or punk music concert at a small venue. I am a true explorer for variety of music for there is so much material out there yet not enough time! With my students, I would always recommend concerts that I believe can be beneficial to them.
