About

Providing client-oriented education & training in Tai Chi, Qigong, and Meditation to health conscious people interested in self-care investments that strengthen the immune system, improve balance (physical, mental, emotional), and enhance overall quality-of-life.

While I enjoy many aspects of the work I do, the top 3 I enjoy the most are:

1. When a student achieves the goals they have set for themselves using the healing arts we share with everyone

2. When students express a new found level of calmness, peace and relaxation

3. When students feel their qi (chi) or life force energy for the first time. It's like watching a child opening a gift they have longed for.

I have been meeting on Fridays at 5:30, with Stan. He is perfect and I am very happy. Last week, I forgot the time and came at 6:30 by mistake; Stan stayed with me for an hour even though the class was finished at 6:30. He is dedicated to Tai Chi and patient with me as I struggle to get into this.
The venue, as well, is perfect. It is quiet and lends itself to this kind of meditative work.
I want to keep going. What is the protocol to do so? Can this note serve as my okay to continue?
    Thanks.............Jim Steuterman

Dave is very knowledgeable and has an excellent teaching style for
someone like me who often finds it challenging following along with
an instructor. He is patient and kind and I have learned a great deal,
and his class has helped me with my issues of balance.

The class is relaxing, yet fun and a nice sense of friendship has prevailed with teacher and among students. I look forward to each class as a meaningful addition to my life.

The Qi Gong class has been a healthy experience for me. I signed up because of a recent medical condition, hoping to introduce some techniques to help in everyday life. I’ve learned to breath deeper, and allow myself to focus on Qi Gong movements in a meditative and healing state during our 1 hour class. Through this process our instructor has taught us various ways to incorporate what we’ve learned when faced with stress throughout our day. Our class agenda teaches us step by step repetitive movements giving us a chance to ask questions and benefit from this experience.
A calm and welcoming environment, you can feel the qi energy among the students!

Our leader, Dave, was excellent, kind patient, and encouraging. I went some before a problem with my leg, but plan to return as soon as I can. I have scoliosis and Kyphosis, which requires me to change some routines, and Dave has been very accomodating. He helps us along, which is great since my memory is not so good.

I have been with Dave for a number of years now. He provides a low key environment that takes into consideration any physical issues you may have to teach you the forms. He teaches you the forms but his major concern is that you achieve a meditative state and that you move through the forms in the manner that best fits your body and mind in order to achieve it. The goal being the flow of Qi over any concern about correct body movement. I highly recommend Dave as a teacher who gets you to the personal space that you are trying to achieve.

    Frequently asked questions

Talk on the phone with the new student about what they hope to achieve through tai chi / qigong / Meditation classes to insure their expectations can be reasonably met.

If it is a group of 5 or more, offer a free demonstration class at their location. If less than 5 people, offer a free trial class at one of our many locations.

Share with them the history, basic principles and key benefits of the healing arts.

If student(s) are joining an existing class, introduce them to the class and have the class introduce themselves to the new students. Work out a transition plan to get the new students up to speed with the existing class.
