Mike LoColle has been providing Private Training services to me since Spring 2013 every week 3 times per week. I got started late in life, my early 50's because I was having back issues and could not enjoy golfing, gardening or any of the things I loved to do. They provide understanding and know how to push me so I am stronger and leaner than I was before my 50's. The weight/strength training has helped me do thinks like kayaking, hiking, biking and playing golf. Recently I was tested and had perfect blood pressure with low stress levels which are manageable. I have followed Mike's nutrition plans and he has educated me so well that I understood how and why I gain weight and what I need to do to lose the weight and keep it off. I like working with Soul Warrior because I am continuously pushed to be a better me, every week. I keep learning and understanding more all the time and that is important to me.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

We always start with a complimentary session that incorporates an intake questionaire to get to know the client, from there we assess strengths, weaknessess and flexibility to see how the program will proceed .  We also incorporate nutrition as Michael has been certified for the past 11 years and makes this a part of the process when working with a new member.  After gathering all the information we create a plan that is taylored directly to the persons needs, work, lifestyle and goals with results at the forefront.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Summer of 1996 was a turning point in his life, when, recognizing he was spending more time eating out, and would binge, and not work out, he made the decision to start training again.  Having been an athlete he understood the time it would take as well as the nutritional changes it would take to achieve the lifestyle he envisioned for himself and began reading every book, & magazine as well as watching every documentary and training/nutrition video out there.  He spent most of his time aside from working researching bodybuilding training and nutrition.  Today one of his specialties is coaching clients to get stage ready for Bodybuilding/Bikini/Physique training.  His view of the sport is one of beauty and art.

Michael is also well known in his community as the Body Transformation Specialist, and Health & Wellness Consultant.  His role in the company is that of understanding those people who have tried and tried over and over again to change but haven't succeeded.  Those are the people Michael works with best.  He understands at a deeper level that it's more than just picking up a weight or making a better food choice.  It goes deeper and he understands.

In June 2014 through June 2015 Michael co-hosted the Green Chocolate Bar Radio Show (an interactive radio show on Fitness, Nutrition and Lifestyle.

In June of 2015, Michael began hosting & facilitating Health and Wellness Retreats.  These Retreats are national and international and give his clients the time and space to work on their body, mind and soul.

In January 2016, Michael took the radio format for the Green Chocolate Bar and began co-hosting the show on BATV (Billerica Access TV)

Michael spent 3 years as a committee member of the Billerica Health and Wellness Fair 2015, 2016, 2017

Michael is currently working on a fitness cookbook

Michael is qualifying to judge for the NGA (National Gym Association)  He has coached several Bikini, Physique and Bodybuilding clients from never having stepped on a stage to their first run.  He makes the process simple & effective.

How did you get started teaching?

About 12 years ago I decided that fitness had always been there for me in times of stress and helped me deal with those stressors.  I wanted to show others how much they can benefit from exercise and having a healthy mind, body and soul connection.

What types of students have you worked with?

People that have wanted to lose weight, anything from 20 to 100 lbs, strength atheletes.  Kids from the age of 14 and up to prepare them for any sport.  Bikini, figure, physique and bodybuilding competitors.  Nutrition only clients who didn't have the time to workout but wanted to make better choices with food.  I have worked with people that were reffered to me by chiropractors and doctors for injuries with Knees, back and shoulders and more.  Having been in the business for  years and having been around the business for over I have had the experience to be able to work with all types of fitness/nutrition clients.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Make sure they are certified, if they are working with you in home or traveling to you, make sure they have insurance, and have real testimonials.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Make sure to ask the following questions of anyone you are looking to hire:

What is your specialty?

What are your qualifications?

How do you assess new clients?

Do you create meal plans?

How do you track fitness goals?

What is your style of encouragement and inspiration?
