Before I started with Tamara, I felt sluggish, uncomfortable, and I didn’t like anything I wore. I looked bloated all the time; the fat and rolls on my back were my biggest insecurity. I was “jiggly.” I viewed exercise like punishment. It was what I had to do because I made poor food choices. The thought of working out at a gym and running outside frightened me. I was very insecure, and I cared way too much about what people thought of me. I had countless bad habits! Some examples of bad habits were:
- Eating large portions
- Eating mostly processed food
- Giving up easily
- Being really hard on myself when I failed at anything
- The Queen of excuses
- Talking myself out of doing things that were “hard.”
What made me decide to train with Tamara @ Body By T.E. was that I decided that I want to become a police officer. I realized that I wasn’t
going to push myself and that I needed to train with someone who would. My cousin recommended that I train with you. She liked your approach as a personal trainer and knowing that you’ve trained people who have similar goals to mine was very reassuring. My final push to take action was that I was more out of shape than I had realized and knew I only had a few months to reach my goals. If I didn’t take action, I would have talked myself out of becoming a police officer because it was easier to quit than exercise every day. Since starting, I now feel confident, unstoppable, and accomplished. I look toned, less bloated, and my muscles are VISIBLE! WHAT? I have visible muscles? I have learned to control my eating, and although exercising some days is still a nuisance, I know what I am doing, and I am seeing results, so it is slowly becoming more of a reward than a punishment. I quit so many bad habits since starting like:
- I eat smaller portions
- I’m better at avoiding processed foods
- I like to think that I make less excuses now, but I could be wrong hahaha
- I get in my own head still, but I’m not as hard on myself as I used to be
My next goals are surviving the police academy which I KNOW Tamara has over prepared me for! I plan to continue training with her after I graduate to ensure I stay in shape after graduation!
