About
What we take pride in at 2rueGuard Training is the family dynamic. We dont want to have a client/trainer relationship and make it strictly about basketball. Coach Gerard feels that sports translate to everyday life and feels it is important to leave his door open for any talks or mentorship as well. Every player that has trained with 2rueGuard has kept in touch by sending postcards from the countries they professionally play in, text messages, emails, film from recent games for advice, etc.
Being available for players is important as someone who has gone through the experience first hand. Being able to relate to them both on and off of the court increases the chances of successfully reaching their goals!
What I enjoy most about the training is the overall journey and progress of each player. Working with athletes of all skill levels is what really defines a trainer and helps us to show our worth. With that being said, I can only measure my skills by the development and progress of my client's skills. That challenge is what I enjoy the most, aside from my clients realizing their progress and implementing the things that we work on into game situations. There is nothing better than a client realizing that the work and effort that they put in with me pays off!
