Ellie A. says, "I had never played guitar prior to taking lessons with Ryan, and I cannot express how grateful I am that I decided to enroll in twin cities school of guitar! I can confidently say I would not have made as much progress as I did if I had tried to teach myself. Ryan was attentive, supportive, and very knowledgeable. I’ve had a great time trying out the different lesson types and have learned something new from each one. I had lots of fun with the group lesson aspect- seeing others improve was inspiring! Not only does Ryan help you improve in classes, he also offers practice techniques that encourage growth at home as well. If you’re thinking of signing up for lessons, Ryan is a fantastic teacher and starting guitar has been my favorite part of my summer!" Read more

My love of guitar has always stemmed from my desire to play music that I find personally engaging. Over the years I have played many styles of music in many contexts but the simple excitement that comes from replicating something exciting is still the driving force behind my desire to play. My hope is to help create a similar connection for my students, to provide materials that feel personally import and engaging, and to add on to that passion by exposing players to exciting new music. Education runs in my family. I have been actively engaged either as a student or teacher for my entire life and I hope to always be connected to education. I ...

If you are serious about improving as a violinist/musician, I can't think of anyone more qualified than Mr. Han-Gorski. He is a man of great wisdom and life experience with a resume few could match, who studied closely with Jascha Heifetz, toured the world as a soloist, and also led many world-class symphonies as concertmaster. He understands music and the violin in a way few do being directly linked to the 19th century violin giants: Wieniawski, Vieuxtemps, and Joachim. He will challenge you to play your very best and then demand even more from you. You will find yourself significantly raising your standards in practicing, listening more closely to your own playing, learning how to analyze and interpret music, and develop a solid technique in service of the music. The teacher you choose to study with will have a tremendous impact on your practicing, performing, musicianship, and life. I once had a teacher who attended Curtis and Juilliard, and I've learned more about music and playing the violin in a few lessons with Mr. Han-Gorski than studying for a year with this other teacher. Mr. Han-Gorski will not only help you to improve as a violinist, but he will show you how to think and understand music so you can take what you learn and apply it. No matter if you are a beginner or professional, he will show you the way to mastery and true musicianship.

Chrestan teaches in a fashion that allows you to learn rhythm as well as theory. He gets to know his students and what their interests are and makes learning fun. He has been very flexible with scheduling and is always punctual. As an adult learner I have learned many new ways of playing. The lessons have inspired me to want to play again and I am very much enjoying the lessons! I would highly recommend him.
