My clients truly appreciate the individual attention and personalized training programs I design for them. They are seeing results better than they anticipated; many of them faster than they believed they could. My training philosophy is that you have to fall in love with yourself first. With that simple change of mind, everything else will fall into place. And I can show you how to do that.

How did you get started teaching?
I became a personal trainer as part of my natural progression from chubby housewife to breast cancer survivor, to natural competitive bodybuilder and fitness modeling. Training blends all that I have learned through weight loss, disease management, bodybuilding and modeling. It allows me to share what I love, continue to grow and help others fall in love with themselves.
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with any person who has a desire to enhance their well being through a sound exercise and nutrition program. I have worked with men and women from adolescents to senior citizens. I have worked with athletes, stay-at-home parents, working adults, students, retirees and everything in between. My training philosophy applies to anyone interested in improving their well-being.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A 57 year old female client came to me a few months ago on order from her doctor. She was pre-diabetic, obese and suffering from mental defeat. Through our work together, she is feeling amazng about herself, is no longer pre-diabetic and loves coming to the gym a few days a week. She has also recently brought her 15 year old son to train with me. Their mother-son relationship has blossomed as well. They are working out together often and preparing meals together, something they have not done before!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find a personality match. Personal trainers have similar training on how the human body works. The difference between trainers is the personal aspect he or she brings to the gym. I offer a nurturing, supportive training style. I am a mother of four. I know the best way for me to support people is to be encouraging, not a drill sargent.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
A personal trainer is just that - personal. Be ready to answer questions that may be more personal than what you'd say in casual coversation. A trainer's job is not to pry into your private life, but to get an understanding of your lifestyle, likes, dislikes, preferences and habits in order to design a progam that works for you.
