Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
All quality instruction starts with the relationship. Let's talk about your goals, your struggles, your strengths and your weaknesses! Once we know where you've been and where you want to go, we will roll up our sleeves and get to work improving your game.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been coaching baseball for over a decade now, and have coached catchers, pitchers, hitters and infielders at all levels from 8u to high school to NCAA DI. I played my college baseball at the NCAA DIII level, and have coached hundreds of athletes on to the college and professional levels.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My lesson pricing varies depending on frequency of lessons, location, and season. I will provide all equipment except a glove, hat and cleats. Lessons can be broken down into different areas of focus based on client specifications. For example, during a one hour lesson, we can hit for 30 minutes, pitch for 20 minutes, and work on infield for 10 minutes. It’s your time and your money; spend it on your goals.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
When you're looking to hire an independent coach, find someone who can teach in a way that you can understand and apply. There are a lot of routes to success, there is no one perfect answer. A good coach will understand that what works for someone else may not work for you.
