About
"Baseball is Life."
In terms of resilience alone I have to agree with that quote.
I offer a fun, affordable, safe clinic where young catchers can learn their position, further develop their skills, and grow into confident players. Present skill level isn't the issue--effort and attitude are. As long as a player wants to learn and brings the right gear, we're in business. Everything else they need as catchers is what I provide.
Safety is paramount. I teach players to always wear all their protective gear and to understand why that matters. We spend focused time on arm care, hip mobility, warmups, and cooldowns that keep their developing bodies healthy. At this age, their joints, muscles, and growth plates are still forming--the hips especially, are where power and control begin. Teaching players how to move correctly now sets them up for strength, confidence, resilience, and longevity in the Long Game.
I have a background in Education, including graduate studies in Special Education with a focus on Autism. I know how to reach students--how to speak their language. I understand where they are cognitively, socially, and emotionally. I know how to bring focus to even the most distractable boy or girl.
I work with younger players because I'm good at it--and they keep me humble. There's no habit is beyond repair or refinement. Growth happens in cycles, often in factors of twelve.
If your player has yet to try out for next year's team, I'll have them ready. I teach the mindset that will benefit them most. We have had great success in this area.
I have a plan. Your player has a lot to learn. Bring them to me.
