I am a positive and enthusiastic coach and I believe that helping a player build confidence is one of the most important things that coach can do. I believe the game should still be "fun" even when a engaged in competition.
That being said, it takes work to learn and improve skills and the players need to be held to a high standard, and challenged to work on skills in their free time.
