I am a proficient performer in Jazz and Classical music, I love teaching it, and have had many years teaching everyone from the beginner (all ages) to the most advanced students. (I am currently working with a student on Rachamaninoff’s 3rd Concerto). I have a Doctorate in Piano Performance from Yale, a member of MMTA, Over twenty years of college teaching experience, but doing more performing than anything else lately. I love communicating my passion for an art that is so necessary for times like these, and finding what allows each student to develop their talent with freedom and joy. Traveling Music Lessons has been a great experience. I was a little nervous to get started since I'm older, but my teacher has been amazing to work with. Highly recommend.

The teacher is great at watching and listening to my playing. He excels at correcting my playing in a manner that I understand and doesn't make me feel like I shouldn't be playing guitar. It's a real pleasure to learn from Ryan. I am a much better player and learning so quickly I really can't believe it.

Pat Balder is an exceptional singing teacher. His training and background see him combining the best parts of traditional and contemporary vocal practice. He has built his own approach, merging parts of other disciplines such as SLS, Estil, Opera and more. Even online he has been able to work bringing my voice to a level at which I am thrilled - I've found the voice I always wanted. Pat has a great ear for hearing the parts of your voice that need refining, and even online he notices subtle physical nuances. He's also an amazing singer who can do almost any style. And he's a kind-hearted, charming guy. I couldn't recommend him more!
