I am a proficient performer in Jazz and Classical music, I love teaching it, and have had many years teaching everyone from the beginner (all ages) to the most advanced students. (I am currently working with a student on Rachamaninoff’s 3rd Concerto). I have a Doctorate in Piano Performance from Yale, a member of MMTA, Over twenty years of college teaching experience, but doing more performing than anything else lately. I love communicating my passion for an art that is so necessary for times like these, and finding what allows each student to develop their talent with freedom and joy. I consider my role to be like a personal trainer, not s...

David says, "Awesome instructor who knows his stuff It was clear from my very first meeting with Eric that he had a real passion for music and a mastery of the art of guitar. His lessons are fun, he's been quite dependable, personable, and knowledgeable, and I can't wait to learn more! He has a laid back attitude which really helps his teaching. More often than once he's gone over into his own time to make sure I get a lot out of each lesson." Read more

I have been learning 20th century techniques is electronic sound art as well as a traditional classical education. I am completing my bachelors in composition from St. Cloud university this fall and will be going to Berkeley online school of composition immediately the following year.I will be Persuing a doctorates degree in film scoring and sound design. Alex S. says, "Michael is an awesome teacher who teaches you how to actually listen to the music, rather than just teaching you the finger positions. Plus, it's one-of-a-kind and personal, not just some cookie cutter class that follows a book. If you are looking for a great teacher, I can't recommend Michael enough!" Read more

John P.
The teacher is great at watching and listening to my playing. He excels at correcting my playing in a manner that I understand and doesn't make me feel like I shouldn't be playing guitar. It's a real pleasure to learn from Ryan. I am a much better player and learning so quickly I really can't believe it.

Anibal is extremely well-organized & thinks thru his “lesson plan” depending on what we’ve worked on the past few weeks. So, ultimately, the lessons & learning builds upon a foundation & that can be in a music style or genre or whatever the student wants to focus upon. Anibal is an incredible musician & has a plethora of tools to help the student. I continue to refer to a few short videos that he provided, to hear how a passage or scale or lick is properly played. He is very encouraging & patient with me as a student, yet also tried to push to raise-the-bar on my ability. I would highly recommend Anibal as a music instructor or musician for hire. He’s a really nice person as well!

Eric is a wonderful guitar teacher. He has been my son's guitar teacher for 2-years. I admire the honesty and patience that he has with my son, in addition to keeping lessons fun. I admire how he stresses the basics, yet encourages my son to practice familiar songs to keep it fun for him. My favorite part is when I hear Eric and my son do a "jam" session. Not sure if that is the right word, but it sounds so cool when they play together. I highly recommend Eric as a guitar teacher.
