Here at The Sports Locker we offer Baseball and Softball lessons. Hitting, Pitching and also Catching. I myself am in charge of hitting and catching for both Baseball and Softball.
My name is James Simms and I have played baseball for the past 25 years of my life. I played High School, College and Professional Baseball. I played two years of junior college baseball, then signed with the Gateway Grizzlies and also made it to spring training/single A with the Chicago White Sox.
What makes teaching the game of Baseball and Softball is seeing the player develop and grow into a better player and above all a better person. There's nothing better than working on swing path, exit velocity, or throwing out runners. I'm here to help you achieve those goals.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Normally with a new student whether it's a hitting or catching lesson. I will let them do what they are used to doing for the first few swings with hitting or drills with catching and then from there, we can see what needs to be worked on a build from there.
