One of the things I really do well at is understanding where the player is at fundamentally and where I need to take him. I really work to develop a process in which the player and I can discuss his goals and expectations. I specialize in pitching/fielding/hitting. Price $80 an hour I also offer packages of lessons.

I am a multi sport athlete. I can play and coach Basketball Baseball and football. I was also a personal trainer and have studied martial arts for over 35 years. I focus on fundamentals and learning the game or sport at a higher level. Im a very positive coach and truly believe practice makes perfect. I can and will participate in drills, practice etc. I think its easier to teach being able to give examples and push the person Im training. What I love most about this (aside from having someone to play with) is watching and seeing growth and fostering success. I believe a good teacher 1st explains, then demonstrates, then watches before the

Your Baseball Training questions, answered

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Lessons.com.

How much do private baseball lessons cost?

Private baseball lessons cost $50 to $75 per 30-minute lesson and $80 to $140 per 1-hour lesson. The price depends on your location, the instructor's experience and reputation, the student's age, and whether the lesson includes extras like a video analysis of the player's performance.

Many coaches offer lower prices per lesson if you purchase a package that includes 6 or 10 lessons. The average package prices are:

  • 6 pack of 30-minute lessons: $270 – $420
  • 6 pack of 1-hour lessons: $450 – $720
  • 10 pack of 30-minute lessons: $400 – $600
  • 10 pack of 1-hour lessons: $700 – $1,100

Are private baseball lessons worth it?

Private baseball lessons may be worth it if your child currently plays the sport, loves it, and has expressed an interest in improving their skills and performance. Private lessons can help your child advance their skills, develop good habits, and avoid forming bad habits.

Motivation and a drive to improve are key factors in whether or not the lessons will actually help your child. It's important for your child to practice in between private lessons.

Children who receive private baseball lessons are usually more likely to advance to playing at higher levels than children who only receive group coaching during regular team practice. However private lessons don't guarantee your child will play collegiate or professional baseball.

What is the difference between private and semi-private baseball lessons?

In a private baseball lesson, the athlete trains one-on-one with an instructor who tailors the lesson specifically to their needs and skill level. In a semi-private lesson, two athletes work together with one instructor. Semi-private lessons, also called partner lessons, typically cost 10% to 20% less than private lessons. However, because the trainer's attention is divided between the two athletes, the athletes don't get the same level of individualized instruction as they would in a private lesson.

What age should you start pitching lessons?

Baseball instructors generally recommend that children start pitching lessons at around 8 to 12 years old, though there are no age requirements or exact rules. Learning fundamental pitching skills early on can help your child avoid developing bad habits that will be difficult for them to break later.

However, your child should not start taking pitching lessons until they are comfortable throwing the ball as well as catching the ball one-handed.
