About this pro

ohana.kajukenbo.org

Kajukenbo: The first American martial art was created in Hawaii in the late 1940’s and is a combination of Karate, Judo, Ju-Jitsu, Kenpo, and Kung Fu. It's very similar to Krav Maga and other similar styles.  We also focus on ground fighting and practical weapons.  At Ohana Martial Arts, tere are two Black Belt instructors; Sifu Ken Sills (4th Degree) and Professor Charlie Walton (8th Degree).  The instructors have also incorporated their backgrounds in Muay Thai and Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do, as well as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, western Boxing and wrestling. Kajukenbo is well known not as a sport, but as an ultra-effective self-defense martial science. Classes are available for able bodied as well as people with special needs!

We also have classes for individuals with special needs.

Channel 5 did a few segments on our class.  Here's one.

The instructors at ohana are very skilled and informative. You feel challenged and motivated at each class. You will learn applicable material from day one. You will earn your ranks and feel a sense of accomplishment with each test! The there are many elements to Kajukenbo so you will never be bored from repetition (hand technique, kicking, blocking, grappling and weapons).
