Youth Hoops Basketball Camps offer ongoing, year-round, basketball camps for kids (boys & girls) ranging in ages 6 to 14. Camps are based on a comprehensive course curriculum, which emphasizes basketball fundamentals. Such basketball fundamentals include ball handling, shooting, offensive moves, defense and inside play/rebounding.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The process is as follows:
1. Phone call
2. One week free trial
3. Enroll student into virtual basketball camp
Our process involves no risk for student/parent.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been a skill development trainer since 1993, and has instructed/coached over a 1,000 kids.
Dating back, I've coached at the recreation, travel, AAU, Junior Varsity and Varsity levels.
The “surgical instruction” style, with an emphasis on detail has been my calling card.

For virtual basketball camps, the first 2 training sessions are free.
Afterwards, the cost is $75 for 8 virtual basketball training sessions.

How did you get started teaching?
My first basketball coaching experience started in Berkeley, CA in 1993. I coached a YMCA recreation team.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've coached students at the recreation, travel, AAU, Junior Varsity and Varsity levels.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
One of my past basketball players (now 26 years old) thanked me for playing a major role in his development as a young man.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for a coach that not only improve your sport game, but in life as well. I believe coaches should use sport as a vehicle to help kids become their best selves.
