Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
New students are presented with questions regarding general health history, purpose for seeking a trainer, fitness goals, nutrition habits and willingness to work.
Pre- training screenings to generalize current fitness levels, physical ability to train, and to gain insight on types of training programs to develop/structure that are sports and individual specific.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a Master of Arts in Education for Sports Performance and Leadership from Trident University International, Strength and Conditioning Specialist/Exercise Therapist (ISSA), Master Personal Trainer Certifications through Interactive Fitness Trainers of America (IFTA) and American Sports and American Sports and Fitness Association. Additionally, I have credentials in Running Fitness, Self-Defense, High Intensity Interval Training, Speed/Agility, Bodyweight Fitness Training, Kettlebells, Strength and Conditioning, and more.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing is as follows:
30.00/Session or 60.00 weekly (up to 4 days).
How did you get started teaching?
It's always been my desire to teach/coach/train athletes since I was one myself. My objective is to ensure that individuals receive the best possible training in order to realize their dreams.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've work with individuals of all ages; children and adults. Elementary, middle, high school, college and professionals. Novices and veterans in fitness and sport.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Two of my high school players recently signed letters of intent to play college football; a dream for both but one in which they thought to be difficult to attain.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Always seek individual trainers who have been where you're aspiring to go. If they haven't been there, done that then it's impossible for them to help you prepare for your journey.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should ask themselves are they interested or committed to training for their sport? Is the trainer interested or committed to supporting you and your goals?
