Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
For working with new students I find it essential to take the time to discuss what reason and goals a student has for coming to yoga. Then further discussing background, injuries, current life circumstance and lifestyle so that a practice can be customized for individual needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been practicing yoga for almost 6 years in a variety of settings, in different states & countries, all different styles, which has really expanded my view and knowledge on the practice and philosophy behind it. I did my 200 hour yoga teaching training in Spain, which was an intensive, live-changing program. I am currently working on my Yoga Therapy certification and am a Board Certified Ayurveda Counselor.
I do have a B.A. and B.S. from Western Carolina University with focuses in international relations and criminology which on the surface doesn't seem related to my current field but the trials and tribulations I experienced in my college years definitely make me who I am and transfer in to my teaching.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all ages, late teens all the way up to mid seventies. I have taught a variety of classes from quick moving, power classes to deep stretch, yoga ease classes.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently collaborated with a friend and taught a yoga sound journey where my friend played the crystal bowls, flute and other instruments while I taught and the response was amazing.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Be very clear on what it is you are trying to achieve and go with the teacher you feel drawn to.
