Actualization Life Coaching
About
I held clients experience the cathersis of creativy without a focus on product. I use intuitive painting and collage to support the exploration of the subconscious.
I find that creativity is part of a healthy life. However, when we focus on the product rather than the process, we get closed off. Many people don't explore their creativity, because they think they have to be "good" at art. I like that I can help people discover the joy of creating and experience the release of energy that comes from creating when the product becomes less of the focus.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will generally speak to a new student before we meet to understand their goal for our interaction. Often people just want to ge guided in a new medium. If the client likes I will provide guidance in meditation or a mindfulness practice before we begin the work in art.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was raised by an artist, so I was basically raised drawing and painting. I have a masters degree in counseling psychology that helps me to guide people in grounding and mindfulness. This helps people to connect with their subconscious mind and engage on an intuitive level.
How did you get started teaching?
I began using intuitive painting personally. I have also used it with clients for years as a way to help them set goals both personally and in therapy. Teaching intuitive painting is an extention of this.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked people of all ages. I have worked with people who just want to explore their creativity, and I have worked with people dealing with severe and persistant mental health issues.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Always work with someone you have a positive connection with. You can learn art technique from anyone who knows it. The reason to work with a specific person is because of what they can bring to your artwork from who they are. To do intuitive art you need someone who can help you get beyond your conscious limitations.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Before you engage with a teacher in any area, be mindful of what you are looking to gain from your engagement. If you have specific goals, please communicate these clearly with the person you choose to work with.
