About

I am an Actor and Educator from Savannah GA, who has trained/ worked professionally in Classical text, Improvisation, Mime, as well as Film and Television. Since recieving my BFA in Theatre Performace from Columbus State University, I have experienced the Entertainment industry in Atlanta as well as NYC. My work in the industry has coencided with my work as and educator, where I have had the privliedge to work with K-12 students. My work in education for the most part has been in theatre ( The Alliance Theatre, Keep the Beat, Atlanta Street Theatre, Trevor Day School) however, I also have two years experience in Online learning having worked with Goledne Voice English as a English language instructor.

I love introducing students to Theatre. It's an artform based in team work, communication, and preparation. Three things that no person can get through life with out. Theatre teaches these skills and many more but does so in a way that is fun and unique to each persons development of the craft.

Frequently asked questions

I have worked proffessionally as an actor and educator since my graduation from Columbus State University in 2012. After graduation I became a Company member with the New American Shakespeare Co. in Atlanta GA for three years, before heading to NYC and training as a Mime with the American Mime Theatre Company. During this time I also began my television and Film career earing credits in: Necessary Roughness(USA), Bolden, Bull (CBS), and Wu-Tang: An American Saga (HULU).

I began my career teaching in 2012, after graduating from college. I started in the realm of Creative Dramatics where students work in groups to devise works based on their shared lived experiences. This was soon followed by educational training in the performance of Shakespeare for youth grades 1 to Grade 12. Over the past 10 years, I have garnered experience teaching not only in theatre but I have also worked as a classroom instructor for Grades 1 and 2.

I recommend that the student stay calm and not feel like they have to do what the see on TV, or saw at the theatre. Learning about theatre/acting is a very personal experience, and what makes it special is when the performer is authentic to their experiences.
