My piano teacher recruited me to teach younger students piano lessons when I was a freshman in high school, and I loved helping younger kids learn piano. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Ball State University with a BS in Music Education and Vocal Performance, and taught Elementary Music and coached Elementary Girls' Volleyball and Basketball and Jr. High Girls' Track and Field for 1 year before pursuing a career as a Broadway singer-actress. I became interested in the fitness industry and completed several certifications as a Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer before earning an MA in Applied Physiology from Columbia University. I became more interested in endurance sports, first competiong in running races, then duathlons and triathlon before discovering my strong suit was cycling. I have won 5 UCI World Masters' Road Cycling Championships, 15 USA Cycling Masters' National Championships, and am a Category 1 bike racer. I have been a USA Cycling Licensed coach for over 12 years, and have served as a ride leader for the New York Cycle Club "A-SIG" rider development program. I am a coach for the Century Road Club Associatin, the oldest and largest USA Cycling club in the country, and manage the Performance Center at Chelsea Piers Fitness in New York.

I have worked with studentsof all levels, ages and experience, as well as special populations. I enjoy helping new riders gain confidence and have more fun on the bike!

New Jersey Bicycle Racing Association time Trial events, nost recently the Kingwood Time Trial. The races are very accessible to almost anyone, anbd they offer categories for all ages and levels of competitiors, for juniors to Masters' Riders and all USA Cycling categories, as well as categores for TimeTrial bikes and non-TT bikes. The races are generally fairly short in duration, so training does not require an excessive time commitment, and an athlete can see progression their performance across the calendar of events.
