Over the last 20 years he has immersed himself in a myriad of jobs in both theater and film; producer, director, production manager, (both theater & film), actor, stagehand designer, carpenter, writer. He has used his experience in feature filmmaking and New York City professional theater to be a partner of a production and development company, To and Fro Productions, LLC. Over the last 12 years of Cedric has led the company has built a substantial resume including feature films and touring theater. He is also a teacher at New York Film Academy

In general, Hill believes in a hands-off approach to producing and directing. He explains, “I present my vision of the story and let the creative team use their best creative skills to get there. The mystery of collaboration is really where art happens.”
I love telling stories. For a very young age, the very first time I was on a stage at 4 years old until today. I have never felt anything as powerful as giving words life!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a union director for the last 20 years. For actors, I give you what you need to work on stage or in front of the camera.
For filmmakers, I combine theory and practical application use in the business.
For director and writers, I show through my development process how to shape and tell your story.
How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching more than 15 years ago, as a way to keep in touch with new talent.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am a board member of the International Puorto Rican Heritage Film Festival. I was a presenter of a lifetime achievement award.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Pay attention and go with what feels right, not what feels good.
