This is how I live my life everday.
I am a personal trainer and a nutritionist with over 19 years of experience in the vitamin and supplement industry. Here is a little about me, and how I got started in the health and fitness world.
In 1976, I was born prematurely, weighing 2.3 pounds. The doctors told my parents that if I survived (which was less than an 80% chance), I would probably be blind and in a wheelchair. Luckily, I survived, but I faced many challenges throughout my childhood and adolescent years.
At 12 years old I was diagnosed cerebral palsy. I had an inverted right foot which caused me to walk with a severe limp. Around the same time, I fell in love with baseball. I had difficulties hitting the ball and running the bases, but my coach recognized the special ability I had as a pitcher. I was able to throw the ball at 90 mph. My high school team was ranked fourth in the nation by USA Today, and after high school, I went on to play collegiate baseball.
My love for baseball is what led me to personal training and nutrition. I wanted to be as active and healthy as possible and found satisfaction in teaching others to reach their full potential. At 27 years old, I found a specialist who performed reconstructive surgery on my inverted right foot, which has lessened my limp, and diminished my painful muscle cramps.
Nowadays, I am married to my beautiful wife, and have an awesome family. My disability was my biggest motivator. My life experiences have given me the opportunity to teach others that having a disability doesn't mean you have permanent inabilities. The doctors were definitely wrong about me. When there's a will...there's always a way!!

How did you get started teaching?
My disability started my journey into the fitness world.
I was bullied all though out school because I was " different "
Then there were sports in school. I always knew I was behind the 8 ball physically. So I had to be bigger and stronger then everyone else and not to mention the self-esteem part this helped me out greatly. The social benefit of being healthy and strong are great as well.
So I started working out and research vitamins and supplements. I made my high school baseball team ( ranked 4th in the nation at that time )
I carried this practice to into college with me as well. I played baseball in college too. I was personal training while in college and worked with all populations including people with disabilities. This where I found my second passion.
Baseball was the first.
Fitness Training and HELPING People was the next.
