In the end it's all how you use it and he can teach you all the fundamentals and more, giving you information that you will use to take pictures for the rest of your life. If you don't have a camera or are looking for advice on what to buy, he will tell you things like "Is the camera comfortable to hold and view images on, both before, during and after you look to take a picture?." He makes recommendations based on your feedback and answers.
I highly recommended him.... Randy teaches you what you need to know to be not better, but much better and can teach you how digital photography works.... By asking you the right questions, depending on your answers he explains things to you so you can better understand and control your equipment. He can keep it basic and simple, or really go deep into it if you want to learn it and understand photography that much more.
