About
I have coached on the high school level and currently coach a competive girls high school aged AAU team. I have over 20 years of experience coaching both girls and boys. I am a positive coach who helps players develop and improve their skills and basketball sense.
The biggest fullifillment I get from coaching is witnessing both player and team improvement. I loving seeing the smile on a player's face as they begin to improve while doing a drill.
It isn't aleays about winning. It is knowing that at the end of a session the player is left feeling better about themselves and wants to come back the next day to continue toi learn and have FUN!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a player I believe it i important to evaluate where they are as far as skill development goes. It is important to remember that you must:
Crawl before you can walk
Walk before you can run
and
Run before you can sprint!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have loved the game of basketball since I was a sixth grader in school who made the 7th/8th grade team. From there a just developed a love for the game becuase of my coaches.
My goal is to have a player or student develop the same passion I have so that someday they too would want to coach.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My pricing is dependent on what the player's parent's can afford. I coach and instruct because like I said I have a tremendous passion and love for the game.
How did you get started teaching?
I have been coaching since I was 22 years old. Over the years I learned as much as I could from coaches and from their I just stated to instruct players. It was a natural progrssion.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all ages. I have worked with grammer, middle and high school players as well as freshmen in college.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
In July I attended the Nike National Tournament of Champions AAU Tournament. The event attracted hundreds of coaches at all levels D1,2, and 3.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would stree to the student that they should feel comfortable with the instructor. You want a instructor who is going to push you to reach your limits. On the same hand that instructor needs to be positive at all times.
You are looking for someone who is knowledgable but who is also stern but gentle.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Most important question - what is your coaching style?
Is the instructor supportitive, encouraging, knowledgable and can he/she help the player to improve.
So may question is - I want to work to get better - can you help me impove!
