About

I am a certified, Yoga-Alliance registered Yoga and Comprehensive Classical Pilates instructor with over 16 years of teaching experience. I absolutely love Pilates and Yoga and love seeing my students progress and feel better from issues/injuries with their practice. I go at at each student's pace. It's not about filling the time they've booked but working on each individual's needs and goals.

I found Pilates and Yoga because I suffered from anxiety and it helped tremendously. I became an instructor mainly to help others and let them know they did not have to suffer any longer.

Frequently asked questions

I start out with a basic class, whether that's Yoga, Pilates or Senior Fitness to assess how the student feels and responds.  I also send a follow up questionnaire after to see what felt good, what didn't and what the student would like to continue to tailor each class to his/her needs.

I am a certified, Yoga-Alliance registered Yoga instructor, A certified Pilates Teacher as well as certified in CPR/First Aid by the American Red Cross.

I suffered form panic attacks and insomnia.  Someone suggested yoga and I was immediately hooked.  When I saw the changes it made, how my sleep improved and anxiety lessened, it was my desire to help others feel the same -- to let them know they did not have to suffer any longer.

All types -- from pre-K children to Seniors.  I've worked with pre-natal students, students with fibromyalgia, autism, special needs.

I was asked to host a yoga event at a baby shower.  It was a wonderful way to get a group of friends together to pratice.  It was great for the mom-to-me to share her love of yoga with everyone and something completely different to add to the usual events at a shower.

Make sure your instructor gives you the lesson YOU want. Never be afraid to ask questions on a move and/or WHY you are doing the move.  He/she should be most interested in your health, goals and needs instead of just leading another lesson.

The student should take into account his/her health and any special issues (high blood pressure, pregnancy, injuries, etc), whether or not they can be consistent in their practice (they can do this by asking the instructor for some moves they can practice at home), whether the lessons are affordable and how far they are really willing to travel for the lesson and if this really fits into their schedule.
