About
Enthusiastic, committed educator with innate ability to understand and motivate students. My lessons are tailored to a student's particular needs. I work both from a textbook and specific materials that meet the needs of my student.
One student has told me that accent reduction has helped him get a job. Another student was told that his presentation was the best one he had ever done. Other students have overcome long term challenges with English letters such as r, l, h, w, or v. Still others find that over time, they start to sound more American as their intonation improves. I supplement my lessons with a variety of materials with anything from how to do a presentation effectively, to using poetry or songs to teach intonation, to creating youtube videos, etc.
I have a degree from an Ivy League university and have taught English for six years.
I am committed to creating stimulating lessons that encourage students to improve.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I get to know a student and their personal likes and dislikes. I do a little assessment to get background information on my student. During this process I listen to the student and note the parts of the English language that they have trouble in . I also ask the students what problems they think that they have in English. Then, I modify my lesson to suit them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelor's degree. And I also have experience teaching in Japan, China, Taiwan, and France.
