About
I have been playing piano all my life and teaching children and adults for over 15 years. I love teaching as it is very rewarding to see progress of my students and also share my passion for music. I was born into a family of musicians and started studying piano at age 5. I have studied at Moscow Music College, UCLA, and the Manhattan School of Music, where I was granted a full scholarship and earned a Master of Music Degree in Piano Performance. I have also studied at post graduate program at the Tchaikovsky Moscow Conservatory, where I was an assistant to professor.
In addition to teaching, I have performed in solo recitals in the USA, Russia, Belgium, Spain, Germany, France, Luxembourg, Japan, and Turkey. I also appeared as a soloist with Moscow Symphony, Tenerife Symphony, Southwest Symphony, Carson City Symphony and other orchestras. I am a winner of international and national competitions, among which are California International Young Artists Competition, Houston Symphony Competition and others.
My extensive performance and teaching experience allow me to help my students not only with technique, but also to bring out their full potential. While my goals is to maximize my students' potential, I make sure that lessons are always enjoyable and encouraging.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I always use individual individual approach depending on my student's needs. If a person has professional aspirations, I focus on developing a proper technique and also teach a student tools to perform on stage successfully.
For amateurs and adult students, I pay more attention to giving them the tools to perform repertoire that want, which is not only limited to classical, but also may include jazz, popular music, music from movies, etc.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In addition to piano perflrmance, I have thoroughly studied music analysis, theory, and history and would be happy to share my knowledge with students, as it enhances understanding of music they are playing.
I have also taken courses in biomechanics and ergonomics for performers, which helps improve physical efficiency of movement, improve posture, and minimize tension.
