Henry Ramon Music

I am a Pianist, Keyboardist, Educator, and Music Producer. I have been performing professionally and teaching private piano lessons for over 20 years. I am classically trained with a heavy focus on jazz performance, improvisation, music theory, and music technology. I have been heavily involved in early childhood since a very young age. I grew up in a preschool environment. Early childhood education is deeply rooted in me. I am very passionate about teaching and caring for young children. At this point it feels second nature and is a very enjoyable part of my life and daily schedule. I have also taught a wide range of ages, including teenagers, and adults who are sometimes professional musicians, producers, and composers looking to expand their music vocabulary and ability to accompany themselves and others on the piano, and even play keyboards in a production setting such as a recording studio. In the last 17 years, I have worked with a wide range of artists and entertainment companies such as Big Daddy Kane, Slick Rick, Craig Harris, Jay Rodriguez, Ray Blue, Spirit Of Life Ensemble, Darlene Love, Gin Wigmore, Marieme Diop, RayeSix, Dannis Winston, Yahzarrah, Lifted Crew, Nick Hagelin (The Voice), Bryan Bautista (The Voice), Hudson Horns, Elan, On The Move Events, DWP, Chris Rob, Phantom Vanity, Nick Cassarino, Shira Elias, Ecussionist, Phylissia Ross, Scott Flynn, Ornette Coleman, Yvette Rovira, Giovanni Hidalgo, Chris Turner, Melanie Charles, and so many others.

MISSION STATEMENT:

Learn to enjoy music through a variety of hands-on experiences. Rhythm, melody, dynamics, and improvisation are the basis of music. My goal is to connect the dots of these most basic musical components to enhance the students musical and life experiences. Through movement, singing, and playing various instruments these goals are met. I strongly believe in developing a sense of improvisation in people of all ages because it not only guides a great musical experience but also carries over into human beings’ development cognitively, socially, emotionally, and supports their individual creativity. Creativity is the key to everything. Music provides children and adults a special connection amongst their fellow students, peers, and teachers. It’s not just about the teacher demonstrating but also about the student’s participation in the musical and creative process. I have a deep knowledge of how to incorporate music technology in learning how to play and read music. I’m a big proponent of reading music and learning theory in a practical way, where implementation is key. The goal is to express one’s self through music and to be able to collaborate with others in a musical environment.
