About
Kaufman Music Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit performing arts and education organization in New York, NY. It presents concerts and provides music learning from early childhood through high school, alongside classes and private lessons for all ages. Its programs include Merkin Hall, an intimate performance venue presenting leading modern and classical artists; Lucy Moses School, which offers community classes and private instruction in music, dance, and theater; and Special Music School (M 859), a K–12 New York City public school with an intensive music curriculum. The Center also produces the Kaufman Music Center International Youth Piano Competition and makes rental spaces available for performances and events.
