About
I've been bowling for about 15 years now. I'm a pretty competitive person so I started taking it seriously almost right away. I currently compete in local tournaments and average 230+. My biggest achievement so far is winning a tournament out in New Mexico for $10,000 competing against professional bowlers. If you're unfamiliar with my bowling background you can go on YouTube and type in "Eric hatchett bowling" and you'll get to see me in action. I mainly just wanna help people get as good at bowling as they want to be. If you want to get a little better so that you don't feel out of place at league I'm your guy! If you want to get better so you can be more competitive in competitions I'm your guy! If you're like me and you're just competitive so you want to be as good as you can at whatever you pursue than I'm your guy! Even if you don't want a full on lesson and just have some questions I am super personable and would love to talk bowling with you - so please don't hesitate to reach out. Take care

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First step is the new student would need to reach out to me. Secondly after some conversation I would offer them the options of meeting up in person at a local bowling alley or they can choose to go bowling and just send me a video of how they bowl currently. Either way is fine because the student needs to be most comfortable but in person would be more productive in my experience. Regardless I would look at their form, the way they throw it, and from there dissect what they do well or not so well. At that point the student and I would go over my opinions and he/she would then have to communicate to me what's working and not working over time. The most important thing to remember is that we can't make it all happen in one day, it truly is a process.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
15 years of bowling experience.
Ive worked with multiple coaches myself that have worked with professionals.
I've won amateur level tournaments
I currently bowl in 3 leagues and 1 of them is on professional sport oil patterns
Im currently averaging 230.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Yes, right now I'm charging $40 for an hour or 50$ for 2 hours.
How did you get started teaching?
I was talking with my significant other one day and I realized that some of things in my life that make me the happiest all include helping other people. My goal is to help someone who's interested in bowling become the best bowler they can possibly be.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with bowlers of all averages ranging from 110 to 215.
I have coached both one and two handed bowlers.
I've coached a 150 average bowler for several months now and she can bowl 200s now which is amazing!
i just recently started working with a new student a few weeks back and he was a 150 average and he's already in the 160s 170s!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
It's hard to describe but my newest student had a really really bad habit of pulling the ball. I tried some ideas out with him on how to fix that and together we have been improving that.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Honestly, just be open to new things. Regardless of who you are or what level bowler you are, a teacher is going to show you different things than what you currently know. Different things are SUPPOSED to feel very uncomfortable at first and you need to trust the process and at least give it a shot.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
1. How serious am I about getting my bowling scores higher?
2. How much time am I willing to put into this?
3. Am I comfortable with getting an opinion from someone I might not know right away personally?
