Rankin Football

Coach Rankin taught me a ton about football everything you could imagine. Down to the smallest nuisances of the center position most would never think of. Had a great understanding of every concept and how to teach it. More importantly Coach Rankin taught me what it meant to be a man. How to take accountability and be an adult. That there is more to life than just football. For my time I’ve spent with Coach I am forever grateful.

Coach Rankin was a high school football coach of mine for a few short years before moving into a head coaching position. While coaching at my highschool, he not only helped players become better on the field, but he also took time out of practice to talk with you about anything. As someone with Cerebral Palsy, he helped me tremendously on how to become more confident and to not be afraid to try anything. He was a great coach, great person, great role model. And most importantly, someone who I would not hesitate to hire as a coach.

Coach Rankin was one of my most impactful coaches in my football career! The amount of energy, love, and trust he had for his players including myself was undoubtedly the reason for our success. When I say, he brought the juice, he brought the MOST energy any Coach ever could. From his pregame speeches to his on field coaching ability, he put his entire heart and soul into being a great coach. I am very grateful I got the opportunity to be apart of his journey and ability to play for such a great coach and man!

I don’t know Ed as a coach. But, rather a teammate. Ed was one of the hardest working guys on our team voted team captain by the players and coaches. Had the respect of everyone in the locker room! A great honest guy that I would be lucky to have as my sons Coach!

The dedication. Ed is one of the most dedicated coaches I’ve ever met. Football is not just a passion, it’s a lifestyle to him, I knew this once I met his family and saw how much they bought into it along side him. He lights a fire under everyone around him.
