About
Practical Self Defense and Martial Arts training drawing from Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do and Filipino Martial Arts utlizing tactics used by Military and Law Enforcement. Skillsets range from Empty Hand to Weapons (Knife, Stick, Blade) to Grappling (Empty Hand and Weapons). As part of our training, we stress the legalities of when it is appropriate to exercise levels of force. We also have a Free Ongoing Women's Self Defense Workshop in response to the alarming epidemic of violence against women in the United States.
I love seing the the empowerment and growth in my students and in myself studying these arts. I enjoy seing how it opens up channels of not only understanding how to defend yourself, but how to understand one's own appredciaition of life.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I ensure that he or she understands the basic movements and concepts before progressing to advance techniques. We do our best to accomodate their learning pace. Also, our students are very supportive and nurturing ensuring that every new student gets the most out of their training.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
What types of students have you worked with?
I have taught students as young as 7 to 60+ years of age. Ranging in different states of physical fitness and handicaps and all walks of life.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
In terms of Self Defense, make sure that what they teach fits your individual needs and lifestyle. Too many times you will find certain Instructors warping your original intentions into other sorts of training that don't service you. When in doubt, go with what makes you comfortable.
