What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I discuss areas of improvement with the parent if it is a student under the age of 18 or the student themselves if over 18. I give a needs assessment to get more data on what areas are in need of improvement. I discuss a time frame to begin with and then we get started.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.S. in Elementary Education, a M.S. in Reading, a M.Ed in Education Administration and a certificate as a Life Coach.

One on one tutoring(Reading) $50 an hour
Small group tutoring(Reading)2-4 students same grade level $30 an hour per child
Life coaching $55 per hour
How did you get started teaching?
I always loved reading and wanted to share that love of reading with my students. I started teaching Elementary School right out of college 30 years ago.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've mostly worked with the primary grades K-2. But I also have experience with 6th and 7th graders.
I've worked with adults by providing professional development workshops to teachers at work.
