About this pro

My passion and experience will help you reach your goals, regardless of background or experience. I believe that moving better through your body empowers you to move better through the world. It's about YOUR life, and my program will help YOU live as fully as you can.

I am a certified Personal Trainer, Nutrition Specialist, and Orthopedic Specialist with the American Council on Exercise, as well as a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher wil the Yoga Alliance. With more than six years of experience, I specialize in strength training, weight loss, meal planning and nutrition, weightlifting, dance, yoga, injury prevention and rehabilitation, and pre and post natal training. With this experience I am confident I can customize a program specific to your goals and help you reach them.

I love working with individuals and truly seeing their lives change. It's an amazing, unique journey for everyone that I am always honored to be a part of. I went through my own fitness journey as well: after being a lifelong dancer, I put on about 50 pounds and was out of shape for years. By working with a trainer I was able to get my life back on track, and it was the best choice I ever made for myself. I love being able to give that back to others.

Tiana whipped me in shape for my wedding without being a drill seargent. She was empathetic to my goals and worked with my needs. Highly recommend!

Tiana is the most fun, innovative, effective trainer I had ever came across . I personally hate working-out, but she had created various workouts from vinyasa yoga to weightlifting, that has changed my view of the “gym”. If you are looking for a personal trainer/instructor who is willing to grow with you and give you results! She’s the one to call. Less than month, since I’ve started, I’ve lost 10 pounds but most importantly 2 1/2inches off my waist. If you eat right, and train with her at least 3 times a week; you’ll get your body goal in no time!!

Tiana first & foremost has a wonderful personality, which makes her a pleasure to be around. As far as her training goes, she's excellent at identifying what your weaknesses are/what you need to work on most & tailoring your workouts around that. And so I've always felt like I had training sessions customized to my needs. She will push you, as well as recognize when you might have to scale back. She is also very flexible & understanding when it comes to scheduling. All in all, I have nothing but positive things to say abt my experiences in training with Tiana over the past 2 yrs.

I have been training with Tiana for 3 years now. She has personalized my training to fit all my needs. I started out completely clueless with many injuries and Tiana’s training has helped me get more mobile, comfortable in the gym and helped my recovery immensely. She’s always willing to answer questions and give training advice even while on personal family vacations. She’s a great trainer that will work with you to accomplish the goals you have.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I always start training a new client by doing an overall assessment of their current health, setting goals and intentions for training, and encouraging them to take current pictures and measurements so they can tangibly track their progress. From there we discuss meal plans, how much they should be eating and what kinds of food to eat when. On days we are not training together, I send do-it-yourself workouts to do at home or in the gym to continue their progress.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a certified Personal Trainer, Nutrition Specialist, and Orthopedic Specialist with the American Council on Exercise, a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance, and CPR certified. I also have specialities in pre and post natal training, kettlebells and TRX, and extensive dance training.

How did you get started teaching?

I started teaching after years of personal training. I had a regular yoga practice at a studio which led me to become certified myself, and that's where I grew to love teaching. I love training one-on-one, but am passionate about being able to reach more people at once in a group class.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with clients ranging from 17-75, elite college athletes, complete beginners, those with serious injuries (herniated discs, atrophied muscles, muscle tears, etc), pre and post natal women, those seeking to build strength and muscle, and those focused on losing weight.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

I advise everyone to choose a teacher whose wellness philosophy resonates with them, who is knowledgeable of your injuries and knows how to work around them, and who you feel you can trust with you journey.
