I met Andrew when I was about 15 - I’m now 25 and all these years later he has been a great friend, mentor and inspiration to me as a fellow drummer. He’s a kind man, who met younger me on my level. He learned how I learned, so he could better instruct me. He saw the weaknesses in my technique, as well as the strengths. We set goals, and I progressed MUCH faster than I had when working with FOUR separate drum teachers 😂 Andrew himself is proficient in all different styles of music, and in my view, has mastered his craft. I can’t recommend him enough, and if your experience is anything like mine was, you’ll be a better player and have more fun, too.

Ling laoshi is equally fluent in Mandarin and English, so she's able to explain difficult Chinese cultural and language concepts with ease. She also prepares a tailored vocabulary list with definitions and pinyin after each lesson - the time taken to do this is greatly appreciated. I also like that her lessons are on Zoom because it makes it really easy to show up on time each week. And on top of it all, Ling laoshi is extremely kind, nurturing and warm. I can't recommend her classes enough!

Lessons with Tim were always fun and productive. He gave specific suggestions about technique to give me a better sound and he taught me a variety of ways to practice that continue to help me learn and understand jazz standards today.
