About this pro

Teaching ESL is a wonderful opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute to the education of English language learners--but more importantly, to support students who face the challenge of studying in their second language. As a Political Science and Sociology double-major and Social Work minor, I am thrilled to have the chance to teach ESL, as it aligns with my personal as well as career interests in supporting equal educational opportunities, cultural exchange, and creating community.

As a recent graduate of Simmons College, I have a solid background in community leadership, social justice, and a strong commitment to diversity, inclusion, and empowerment. My experience in organizing and leading a plethora of events, workshops, and programs through the many organizations and employment opportunities I have been involved in make me capable and enthusiastic about the opportunity to develop those skills even further, as well as to learn from the students’ perspectives, passions, and needs. My time earning my TEFL Certificate and teaching abroad in Madrid, Spain in a school and giving countless private lessons to clients throughout the past year has provided me with plenty of experience and skills to take on many aspects of this role, as well as create a close community for the duration of the classes. In addition, I have continued my teaching experience by being an ESL teacher and activity leader in Boston at multiple international camps.
