What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We start by learning what makes THAI a massage stand out from other modalities. Each lesson begins with a little theoretical information to guide our thinking during the process. Then we get right on to learning how to do.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been to Thailand many times. I have studied with different teachers each time. Every year I seek out Thai Massage programs in the US where I can go and study more.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
At the Center for the Advancement of Therapeutic Arts the tuition is about $25/hr. for group lessons. Classes vary in length.
One to one lessons in my studio in Midtown are around $100/hr.
How did you get started teaching?
I had a client who is a massage therapist. She asked me to teach her how to do Thai Massage.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A couple came to my studio for a lesson. While she lovingly applied the technique for his back pain I realized how far into the future the lesson might go. It warms my heart to see people use the tools I am teaching in order to reduce pain and suffering.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone with experience.
