Karen H. says, "In August, 2012, under Patrick’s guidance, I returned to piano study after a hiatus of 10 years. With infinite patience and great sense of humor, Patrick helped me rebuild my technique, expand my repertoire and regain my confidence as a pianist. As an educator myself, I can attest to the fact that Patrick has an excellent understanding of adult learners and their particular needs. I recommend him highly!" Read more

Brandy L. says, "I appreciated how knowledgeable he was about music as a whole. I enjoyed the theory lessons. Theory has the tendancy to be boring but Mr. J made it fun. He is currently teaching me piano and I am grasping so much. A kind gentle demeanor, willing to go the extra mile to make sure you succeed in music, he is extraordinary. Truly great experience. 10 stars. " Read more

Hi Jordan, I hope you are doing well. I am responding to your inquiry regarding a piano teacher. As I have much experience working with children and adults with piano and here in the US and the United Kingdom, I am very much interested in this opportunity and hope to speak to you in the next few days. Currently a resident in Park Slope, I am an accomplished pianist and award-winning composer who recently just relocated from London in October. From 2007-2008 I was the Music Director/Choir Accompanist for a local church when living in San Francisco from 2014-2017. My last church organist post in Stoke Newington, London included conducting

I have teaching since I was 15 years old. I have develop a new technique designed for hyperactive students of all ages who would like to play classical music in the European tradition. Aside from learning how to play the piano without using the standard pedagogic methods employed by the mainsteam conservatories, all technical problems are resolved from the piece itself: music pieces that the students love to play. I believe that students are more enthusiastic to play music scores that they love to play. Since I have background in Reiki, I also help students to connect with their spiritual centers. If your path points towards performing and th...

With over 10 years of experience working as a musical composer and theory professor, I offer a unique approach to learning. The advantage of having a composer as a music theory professor is that you will learn by doing and creating music. Music reading, theory, and ear training—all aspects are integrated into my method. My classes cater to students seeking a solid foundational understanding of music analysis. Additionally, they are designed for musicians aiming to develop solid skills in music composition. Throughout the learning process, you will come to grasp that the "Rules of music" are more akin to principles of guidance and analysis r

Katherine H.
As a theory teacher, Patrick Kreeger possesses the exact teaching style the subject requires. Patience, availability for questions and dedication to my desire to learn best define my experience with Patrick. It was such dedication that also made him call me out when he didn’t think I was doing my best or was making careless mistakes. Perhaps this wouldn’t be that outstanding except that Patrick did all of this long distance; he was in Philadelphia and I was in Delaware. He was timely in mailing me assignments and tests, and even more so in grading and returning them. I learned more from him in the 2 years I studied with him than I did in my last year of theory in my undergrad at music school. If you have the opportunity to study with Patrick Kreeger, consider yourself lucky. You couldn’t find better quality teaching elsewhere.”

Joe recently came to us to teach our twin sons, beginners and age 6.5. On his first visit he got them excited about piano and learning and was able to teach them concepts they grasped immediately. He has the gift to encourage to do well in a playful but firm way that speaks to kids. I highly recommend his teaching approach and we look forward to continuing instructions with him.
