About this pro

Hi there,

My name is Ceres and I'm a photographer/designer that has designed & produced multiple collections over the years. I've also worked in the Fashion Industry for over 10 years, so if you've never touched a sewing machine because you find it intimidating, you love fashion but don't know where to start, or you've been dying learn how to sew just because, I can help!

Being a Fashion Designer means many things, and there are different specialties. I specialize in womenswear and I also dabble with intimate apparel (see photos in profile and website). What I will teach is not only how to sew but Patternmaking, which is the foundation of all clothing. Everything starts with a pattern! Now for those confused about what I'm talking about book me and you'll not only be able to sew, but you'll have true understanding of how clothes are made from A-Z.

I enjoy teaching what I know to others and seeing what they do with what they've learned. I had one student go on to college and study Fashion Design in Paris. This student NEVER sewn in his life, had no clue about Patternmaking, but we worked together and he trusted the process (it takes paitence learning how to sew). It's just amazing to see him in Paris designing and catching the attention of influential people in the Fashion Industry.

I understand that each student will come with their own desires as to why they want to sew, and I'm here to cater to that. No task is too big or too small for me.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

When I receive a new student I get an understanding of what skill level they're on when it comes to sewing, and take things from there.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I went to the Fashion Institue of Technology I graduated with my Bachelor's of Science. My background is in Patternmaking which is the foundation of Fashion Design and Production Managment which is the business side of Fashion.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Every student's needs varies, and  so does my pricing.
